Some alliance activists also meet regularly in their respective regional groups and plan their own actions or events there events, exchange ideas, go to regional demos together and network with other regional organizations.

Regional group Hamburg
As the Hamburg regional group, we have so far organized events such as a demonstration against Tönnies at the slaughterhouse in Kellinghusen, a reading group on the subject of phasing out the animal industry and a bicycle tour through the port of Hamburg. We also regularly meet and participate in other demonstrations, support citizens’ initiatives in the surrounding area and organize discussion events. We currently meet once a month and are happy to welcome new faces, just send us an e-mail if you are interested!

Regional group Nordhessen
The North Hesse regional group is primarily concerned with the largest poultry slaughterhouse in Hesse: In Gudensberg, 20 km south of Kassel, Plukon – the second largest chicken meat company in the EU – kills 130,000 chickens every day. With a blockade action in May 2021, we stopped the destructive production for one day. We also hold regular information events and take part in demonstrations. Anyone interested is welcome to join us. We usually meet twice a month in Kassel.

Regional group Berlin Brandenburg
In Berlin, we presented our study “Billions for the animal industry” as part of an action in front of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL). We also organized a bicycle demonstration and a series of events entitled “Stop the slaughter!”, in which we discussed the meat industry, its system of exploitation and destruction and the prospects for an exit.

Regional group Bayern
The Bavaria regional group is mainly active in the Munich and Nuremberg/Bamberg areas. Our kick-off demonstration was directed against the Bamberg slaughterhouse, which the city council decided to close just a few hours later. This means that Tönnies is losing its only pig slaughterhouse in Bavaria. We will remain active there together with Faba Konzepte and TransFARMation to promote a plant-based agricultural and food transition. But we are also already planning campaigns, presentations and presence in Munich, Nuremberg and other parts of Bavaria. We are always happy to meet new people, please send us an email!
